Frock fantasising

Having spent my entire year’s wardrobe budget already (sob!) and furiously secreting a vast financial windfall, I am restricted to shopping inside my head. That’s right. Frock fantasising.

Actually it’s rather fun since my faux-budget is absolutely open-ended! Here are my two wish-to-God I could wear them right now outfits.  An easy-peasy frock, fab shoes, stand-out bag and minimal yet high-impact accessories.  So fantastic so FFF!

Perfect run-a-rounds

I have been searching high and low for the perfect run-a-round sneaker and here it is!

Watch out because I’m planning on high-tailing it in a pair of Lanvin high top sneakers complete with Chanel-esque capped patent toe. Chic (loving the wide black laces), a little bit Coco and completely practical to-boot. Love them and love Lanvin!

Quick Bites: Chanel, Naomi & net, Victor Demarchelier, Dree Hemingway

  • We first heard rumblings of this rumour mid-last year, but suddenly the whispers have resurfaced with a vengenance! Could Karl Lagerfeld’s tenure at Chanel be coming to an end? Could Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz be his heir-apparent? Too exciting!  grazia.com.au
  • Naomi Campbell and net-a-porter.com have joined forces to host a two-week sale (now on!) of pieces from Campbell’s runway shows staged to benefit Haitian relief efforts. net-a-porter.com
  • New York’s Clic Gallery is showing Victor Demarchelier’s (son of Patrick) debut photo show “Creating Images” (above left). Until April 4, 424 Broome St., NYC, (212) 219-8006) www.clicgallery.com / style.com
  • Lane Crawford’s Spring/Summer 2010 campaign, THE PORTFOLIO, features the divine Dree Hemingway (above right), the great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway and “It Girl” muse to Alexander Wang. Take a peek at the behind-the-scenes video. lanecrawford.com
